Terms of Service

Last updated: July 29, 2026

These terms govern access to the pre-launch version of ScopeGuard. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms.

1. The service

ScopeGuard helps users record client requests, assess scope changes, create change orders, collect client decisions, and maintain an evidence timeline. ScopeGuard is a workflow and record-keeping tool; it is not legal, accounting, tax, or professional advice.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate information, keep your login credentials confidential, and promptly report suspected unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless prohibited by applicable law.

3. Acceptable use

You may not use ScopeGuard for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, infringing, or harmful activity; attempt to access another user's data; disrupt the service; upload malicious code; or misuse public approval links.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of information you enter into ScopeGuard. You grant ScopeGuard the limited right to process that information only as needed to operate, secure, support, and improve the service. You confirm that you have the right to submit the information you provide.

5. Client approvals and records

ScopeGuard records client decisions, names, notes, and timestamps for workflow evidence. You remain responsible for deciding whether those records satisfy your contractual, regulatory, or evidentiary requirements. ScopeGuard does not guarantee that a record will be legally enforceable in every jurisdiction.

6. Pre-launch availability

The pre-launch service may contain errors, change without notice, or experience interruptions. Features, limits, pricing, and availability may be changed before or after public launch.

7. Fees

The current local pre-launch version does not process payments. Pricing, billing terms, renewals, cancellations, and refunds will be published before any paid plan is offered.

8. Intellectual property

ScopeGuard's software, branding, interface, and original content are owned by ScopeGuard or its licensors. These terms do not transfer ownership of the service to users.

9. Disclaimer

The service is provided on an “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. ScopeGuard does not promise uninterrupted operation, error-free results, specific commercial outcomes, or that the service will meet every legal requirement.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ScopeGuard will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profit damages arising from use of the pre-launch service. Mandatory rights that cannot legally be excluded remain unaffected.

11. Suspension and termination

Access may be suspended or terminated for serious misuse, security risks, unlawful activity, or material breach of these terms. Users may stop using the service at any time.

12. Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated as ScopeGuard develops. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date shown on this page.

13. Contact and governing terms

A business contact address and governing-law clause will be added before paid public launch, after the operating business entity and target market are finalized.

These pre-launch terms are a practical product draft and should be reviewed by a qualified legal professional before paid public launch.
